I think we all agree that cheats are bad (mmkay?) in any case. I know of a couple cases where Valve reversed bans when the cheat engine wasn't hooked into game memory, but it took a lot of time, frustration, and luck. But we don't really know if having a cheat engine merely running when switching to a PvP-enabled game can trigger a ban there are conflicting reports. It sounds like the OP was running a cheat engine while in a game that's not connected to servers in any way (except for cloud syncing maybe). ![]() You have to sign in then connect to something to play BO3's campaign, for example.
